On Thursday last week we hosted our first HTA Regional Event. It was great to welcome over 80 customers, growers and retailers for the event to get an insight into what we do here.
The day started with a talk on the history of Chapel Cottage Plants before groups were split onto detailed site tours, highlighting the processes of getting plants to market through propagation, growing and marketing.
Questions were taken throughout the day on some of the pressing issues and challenges that the industry currently faces, such as the transition to peat-free growing media, labour shortages and increasing costs.
A huge thank you to The HTA for helping us host the event, along with those of you that travelled and attended the event making the day a huge success.
